Diana is assuming her new role as President of the CAS GSC with the passion and commitment you will find in a person that wants to serve with heart and a purpose.

Back in her home country, Colombia, Diana earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry while receiving a scholarship for being part of the University Chess Team. She started her chess journey in elementary school and was a professional chess player for over a decade. Diana is pursuing her master’s degree in Chemistry at AU, focusing on exploratory research in medicinal chemistry. In addition, she works as a teaching assistant for Organic Chemistry Laboratories at AU.

Diana loves reading all genres of books and exploring new places. She is also passionate about animals and enjoys her spare time with her husband and their furry son, Ángel.
