Keep fit during your time at AU by using the fitness and aquatic centers in Bender Arena and the fitness center located in Cassell Residence Hall. Hours for all three facilities can vary by semester, season, and week. Access to the pool is restricted when the swim team is practicing or having a meet. You must register at Jacobs Fitness Center with your AU ID in order to use these facilities.
Graduate Research Center (GRC)

You AU ID gives you access to the GRC which contains collaborative workrooms, day-use lockers, a computer lab, and other useful services for graduate students. After 6pm, the space is only open to graduate students. The GRC closes in conjunction with Bender Library.

Media Services houses a large collection of DVDs, videos and visual media, sound effects, and filmographics. Regarding DVDs, some are on reserve for courses, and others are available for home viewing. If a professor is showing a DVD, you may need to pick it up from this location.

This is the center for religious and spiritual life on campus. Multiple religious groups use the chapel as a place to pray and hold services. Chaplain offices are located in the lower level.
Academic Support & Access Center (ASAC)

This is the office that assists with accommodations for students with a learning or physical disability. They also offer guidance on study skills. If you are a Teaching Assistant and have general questions about students with a learning or physical disability, you are encouraged to reach out. ASAC offers workshops on topics of interest to all students such as time management, note taking, critical thinking, memory skills, and test taking. Additional support includes free private and group tutoring in many subjects, supplemental instruction, the Math Lab, and the Writing Lab.

This is the office on campus dedicated to students’ mental health needs. They offer a wide range of services. Located on the first floor of Bender Library, the Writing Center offers free, individual coaching sessions to all AU students. In your 45-minute session, a student writing consultant can help you address your assignments, understand the conventions of academic writing, and learn how to revise and edit your own work.
