GLC Director of Campus Relations Candidate

Mission Statement

Dear AU community,  

My name is Damiano Trovato, a Global Governance, Politics and security graduate student. I am  excited to apply for the position of GLC Director of Clubs and Campus Relations in this up-and-coming  election that will be taking place between March 31 – April 10.  

I will not be alone on this mission, as I have joined forces with several other amazing and passionate  students:

With a deep passion for student engagement, leadership development, and fostering inclusive  campus communities, I am looking forward to putting my best effort to improve the graduate  student experience at AU, ensuring that student organizations receive the resources and guidance  they need to succeed. Throughout my university career, I have worked with student organizations  and have taken part in numerous campus initiatives. For this reason, I believe to be the most  qualified for this position. Being an international student, I also understand the importance of  inclusivity and I am committed to representing every facet of the beautifully multicultural AU  community.  

Together with my team, we will create an active environment, fostering opportunities for all students  with events, and collaboration with other student organizations. We are planning several networking  events that will allow students from different schools to connect with one another, as well as  collaborating with embassies and other organizations outside AU, to present our community with as  many opportunities as possible to develop their academic and professional careers.
