The Graduate Student Showcase Application Deadline has been EXTENDED to Thursday, April 20th!!

Looking for a phenomenal opportunity to publicize your work to the broader AU community and be featured in a spotlight article? If yes, then apply to present your work at the Graduate Leadership Council’s inaugural Graduate Student Showcase, which will bring together the graduate student body, faculty, staff, and alumni to celebrate the successes and accomplishments of graduate students during the 2016-2017 academic year. The Graduate Leadership Council (GLC) and Graduate Student Councils from CAS, Kogod, SIS, SOC, and SPA will select up to two outstanding students from each school to present their research, project, or another piece of work in a symposium-style setting on campus. In addition, the GLC will introduce the incoming board for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Students selected to showcase their work will receive one of the following PRIZES:

3rd Place: Amazon Tap

Date: Saturday, April 29, 2017
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Location: Butler Boardroom, 6th Floor, Butler Pavilion
You must be a graduate student at American University in good standing (3.0 minimum GPA), and available to present your research in a symposium-style setting for the duration of the reception on April 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. You can submit your research on any topic; however, we seek to recognize students whose research focuses on socially relevant topics, substantive change, and critical issues of our time. You must be comfortable presenting your work on a poster board and kiosk. Presentation materials will be funded and provided by the GLC.

Application Process and Deadlines:
1. Complete the google form with your information by Thursday, April 20

2. Send your research and any supplemental materials via email to by Thursday, April 20

3. Selected students will be notified by COB Friday, April 21
