Director of Clubs & Campus Relations Position Description:

Primary Mission

  • Execute the policies and functions related to the affairs of GLC recognized clubs and organizations
  • Manage the affairs of GLC recognized clubs and organizations
  • Serve as a resource for all GLC recognized clubs and organizations and as a clearinghouse for information
  • Work with Student Activities and the Vice President of Finance to assist organizations in obtaining funding and adhering to fiscal policies
  • Work with the Vice President of Programming to organize the Student Involvement Fair at the start of the academic year
  • Other matters properly relating thereto


  • To chair and oversee all graduate clubs and appoint liaisons at the discretion of the council
    • Including International LiaisonOnline LiaisonAlumni Liaison
  • To ensure consistent progress and request updates for all Department projects and initiatives
  • To manage the recognition and minimize the duplication of GLC-recognized clubs
  • To act as a liaison between the GLC, the AUSG, and SBA clubs and organizations
  • Partner with the Office of Graduate Studies to conduct Graduate Needs Assessment every other year to ensure that the necessary benchmarks in the GLC Strategic Plan are being met

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a registered incoming or current graduate student of good academic  standing (Minimum 3.0 GPA) from one of the following schools:
    • College of Arts and Sciences, Kogod School of Business, School of Communication, School of International Service, or School of Public Affairs
  • Must be able to serve the academic year 2018-2019 from the date of hiring though July 28, 2019
  • Must be able to serve up to, at times, 10 hours of service per week
  • Must be able to attend two meetings per month (one formal and one informal)
  • Must not be elected to or currently serving in a position on a school’s Graduate Student Council or to an office of a graduate student club or organization during the academic year 2018-2019
