Vice President of Programming Position Description:

  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all the event planning for the GLC
  1. Including:
    1. Graduate Student Involvement Fair
    2. At least one University-wide social per semester
    3. Red Dress Gala
    4. Townhall
    5. Community Service
    6. Outreach/Tabling
  2. Any other events authorized by the Executive Council

A Liaison for joint programming/communication with the following AU entities in order to coordinate activities and address the concerns of graduate students

  • Student Bar Association
  • Undergraduate Student Government
  • Kennedy Political Union (KPU)
  • Office of Graduate Studies
  • AU Library
  • Academic Support and Advising Center
  • Career Development
  • Office of Merit Awards

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a registered incoming or current graduate student of good academic  standing (Minimum 3.0 GPA) from one of the following schools: College of Arts and Sciences, Kogod School of Business, School of Communication, School of International Service, or School of Public Affairs
  • Must be able to serve the academic year 2018-2019 from July 1, 2018 though May 1, 2019
  • Must not be elected to a position on a school’s Graduate Student Council or to an office of a graduate student club or organization during the academic year 2018-2019
